REDLAND BASEBALL SENIOR PLAYERS TO FIGURE IN CLAXTON SHIELD
Tristan Crawford, Ben Day and PJ Bevis have been selected to play in the 2008 Independence Advice Claxton Shield.
Both Tristan Crawford and PJ Bevis will be playing for Queensland Rams this weekend in Series 4 at Redlands Baseball Club against the NSW Patriots. The first game is scheduled for 7.30pm this Saturday, the 19th of January 2008.
Ben Day has just finished competing in Round 3 of the Claxton Shield competition at Blacktown Olympic Park for Australian Provincial against the NSW Patriots where he hit 2-2, with 2 walks, 2 runs and an RBI in game 3. Its little wonder that the NSW pitchers couldn't get an out with Ben currently averaging .424 in the Senior GBBB Major 'A' competition here in Brisbane.
Redlands Baseball Club wishes Tristan and PJ all the best for this weekend against the Patriots. This weekend is possibly the last time we will see Tristan play here in Australia before he heads back over to the US and a position with the Washington Nationals.
